The Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP), the physician faculty practice of Duke Health, and Growing Child Pediatrics have joined forces to expand comprehensive pediatric services in Wake County. Growing Child Pediatrics is one of the largest independent pediatric practices in North Carolina, with seven locations and 35 physicians and advanced practice providers.
Founded in 1997, Growing Child offers fully integrated physical, mental and behavioral health care services.
“Growing Child Pediatrics is honored to affiliate with Duke Health and our physicians are excited to join as members of the DHIP,” said Dr. Jim Poole, founding physician and executive committee member of Growing Child. “We began as a single pediatric office with two doctors. Over the past two decades we expanded to meet the growing needs of our community. With fantastic partners like the DHIP and Duke, I can only imagine our joint impact over the next 20 years.”
As of this week, 16 Growing Child physicians joined the DHIP. The advanced practice providers, counselors, social workers and staff are contracted to deliver services through the DHIP. Growing Child patients should see little change.

Growing Child locations will not utilize Duke MyChart until mid-2018. To refer patients to one of the practice locations in Wake County, contact the clinic location.
