We are continuing to monitor the path and strength of Hurricane Michael after it made landfall this afternoon in the Florida Panhandle as a Category 4 storm.
At this time (Wed, 6 pm), Duke Health and DHIP Clinics will be open Thursday, October 11. Our region is projected to receive some heavy rain from Hurricane Michael, possibly starting tonight through Thursday evening. Three to five inches of rain could fall in a short amount of time. This may bring flash flooding, as well as flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas, to our region. We may also experience some heavy wind gusts on Thursday.
Please stay safe and plan ahead for severe weather Thursday, and use caution when driving. Stay tuned for further guidance, should it be warranted.
